Having a Master key system enables you to keep your premises secure, while also maintaining who has access to certain areas within the system. 

Master Key Systems are typically used for large scale commercial settings such as; schools, shopping centres, hospitals, and office buildings, but can be useful in all settings. They are designed to allow the authorised person full access using a grandmaster key, then sub user keys can be made to restrict access to certain personnel. The lock cylinders are built to accept both a standard user key and the grandmaster key. Access is generally determined by the user's individual requirements or role within the organisation. 

Master keys can be non-restricted but commonly use restricted key profiles for high security applications. Having a restricted keys means that the authorised person will need to approve the request before additional keys can be copied, this helps to maintain the systems integrity.
